If you're looking to learn about foraging, and join a walk or a workshop, you're in the right place! At our hands-on events you'll discover what edible ingredients can be found right on your doorstep, how to safely and sustainably harvest them and of course, see just how tasty they can be!

We now run regular foraging courses across Sussex and Somerset in the UK throughout the year. The country is rich with wild food, offering an abundance of vibrant, seasonal ingredients just waiting to be discovered. Having grown up steeped in local folklore, Fern weaves stories, traditions, and historical plant uses into her walks, bringing an added layer of magic to every foraging experience.

Our seasonal events involve a two hour guided foraging walk, followed by delicious wild food! But keep an eye out on the calendar, or join our mailing list, because sometimes we even host foraging holidays and special, one-off workshops like wild cocktail evenings, and historical cooking days!

Some events are hosted in collaboration with talented wild-food chefs and fellow forest-school educators. If you'd like to run an event together, please get in touch!

foraging workshops IN the Uk

Our seasonal foraging workshops will give you an introduction to a wide range of wild ingredients throughout the year. From the fresh tender greens and wildflowers of Spring, all the way through to the nutritious nuts and tasty berries of Autumn!

SPECIALIST foraging workshops

Looking for a particular ingredient to add to your wild food repertoire? These courses will be perfect for you. Whether it's delicious truffles, nutritious seaweeds and seafood or perhaps those elusive edible mushrooms, these specialist foraging courses will help you seek out just what you've been looking for.

WHY come on a foraging walk?

Guided foraging experiences are such a great way to learn more about the vast selection of wild foods and herbal medicines growing near you! It can be hard and slow learning from books, because foraging is such a sensory activity. Having an experienced guide showing you edible plants and fungi in their natural habitats is a great way to learn quickly and grow confidence in foraging.

Our guided foraging workshops are also a fun day out! They're a great opportunity to meet like-minded nature lovers, spend a few hours deepening your connection with the land and a chance to try some incredibly unique dishes and drinks, cooked up by your foraging guide!
