EVENT INFORMATION

2026 workshop dates: Saturday 11th April • 10am–1pm [+4 SPACES LEFT] Saturday 2nd May • 10am–1pm [+4 SPACES LEFT] Booking your place: Click ‘Book Now’, find your chosen date in the calendar, select the time slot and continue. If a session isn’t showing, it’s fully booked. Step into Spring with a nourishing, hands-on foraging workshop designed to reconnect you with the landscape after winter. Spring is one of the most exciting seasons in the foraging calendar: fresh green shoots bursting through the earth, delicate edible flowers returning, and an abundance of herbs perfect for teas, simple medicines and everyday cooking. Over three gentle hours, we’ll learn how to confidently identify the most useful and delicious early-season plants, talk about their history, folklore and uses, and gather a few small samples along the way. The walk is slow and mindful, with some uphill stretches, across fields and through peaceful woodland. We’ll finish with a seasonal picnic lunch, enjoying dishes made with the plants and flavours we’ve explored on the walk — a lovely moment to rest, chat and ask questions. The aim of all of our workshops is to leave you feeling inspired and completely capable of foraging a handful of new, wild ingredients. After the session you will receive a PDF with notes from the day to help you in your future foraging forays. This workshop will take place within the South Somerset area. Full workshop details, including the meeting location, will be emailed 2 weeks before the event. If you’d like to know more in the meantime, feel free to get in touch! Please wear sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate clothing. Feel free to bring a small basket for samples, plus a notebook or camera to help you remember everything. We can happily cater for vegan diets, but unfortunately we’re unable to fully cater for gluten-free/coeliac diets on public workshops. . Please note: On the rare occasion Fern cannot host, the workshop will be led by a trusted member of her experienced foraging team.
