An immersive woodland holiday

forest school summer camp

21 - 23 JULY 2023

This Summer, we invite you to join us in the woods for three days of...

Foraging · Forest School Games · Outdoor Dining

Campfire Cooking · Wild Swimming · Hiking

I am so excited to invite you to this incredibly special weekend, full of fun and games! Bunk beds, nature walks, foraging for food, meals around the fire, wild swimming and old-school games! What could be better?

As a child, I always found so much joy in camping weekends. I remember giggling in bunk beds and tents, whooping with laughter while playing games in the woods and feeling deeply content with life at the end of the day, listening to a gentle strum of a guitar round the campfire, eating a toasted marshmallow and gazing up at the stars.

As an adult, these opportunities come few and far between. So I am incredibly happy to bring you this Forest School Summer Camp (for adults!). A space for us to come together to celebrate the simple things in life, community, nature and play!

I can't wait to see you there! 💚

What's included?

We'll be foraging, cooking and eating together, from the land and on the land. Gathering herbs for lunch and teas, you'll learn about how to safely and sustainably harvest seasonal wild edibles and how to prepare them for meals!

Our amazing Forest School leader Paul will be  hosting our Forest School sessions. Games, activities and challenges will be aimed at helping you connect to each other, to nature, and to your inner child. Expect plenty of giggles and hiding behind trees!

We'll be exploring the South downs on our final day together, hiking to a beautiful wild swim spot and enjoying a picnic lunch. We'll stop and talk about edible plants on the way, and gather some salads and garnishes for our lunch.

Location & Accommodation

We'll be based in Watersfield on the stunning South downs this weekend. Surrounded by Waltham Brooks Nature Reserve and plenty of wonderful walking routes. It's an hour and a half from London and we'll be setting up a car share group to save on petrol costs.

If you were ever in the Scouts or Guides, you'll know the joys of an old school bunk house! We'll be snoozing in two beautiful wooden cabins in the woods, with all the amenities you'd expect, a kitchen you can use if you fancy extra teas or coffees through the day, hot showers and loos.

All food during the weekend will be plant-based and delicious! We have the amazing Chef from Trewhitts joining us on the Saturday to help rustle up something special. Unfortunately we can't cater to gluten-free or celiac diets this time around.

Your ticket price includes two nights accommodation in our cosy woodland cabins, all food and drink (excluding alcohol) and daily workshops and activities led by professional and passionate practitioners.

Our Forest School will be an fun loving group of 16 adults. Unfortunately we cannot allow dogs or children at this event.

We are sharing two bunk-houses which will be separated into male / female sleeping areas, each with their own toilet and hot showers.

Full information, including exact location will be emailed to you on booking. For any further information, please do contact us, see our FAQ's page or read through our terms and conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

We've put together some on the most frequently asked questions about our Summer Forest School Camp. If you can't find the answer to your question, please contact us.

"Fern's engaging, friendly, and highly informative style brings this fascinating skill within the reach of everyone. It felt like an amble in the woods with friends, and Fern's sharp eye and delight in the subject lead us on a journey to see familiar places with a wholly new appreciation; each tiny green morsel was a new, delicious and fascinating discovery right under our feet."

Ed Coleridge

What an incredible woodland cabin, perfect for a weekend getaway! It was so peaceful in the woods and we saw so many deer and rabbits. Enjoyed toasting marshmallows around the fire, and slept really well as it was so peaceful and beds very comfortable.
