EVENT INFORMATION

2026 Sessions: Sunday 7th June • 10am–1pm [+4 SPACES LEFT] Booking your place: Click ‘Book Now’, find your chosen date in the calendar, select the time slot and continue. If a session isn’t showing, it’s fully booked. Step into the height of Summer with an immersive, hands-on foraging workshop designed to connect you with the lush, abundant landscapes of the season. Summer is a peak time in the foraging calendar: vibrant leafy greens, fragrant herbs, ripe berries, and colourful edible flowers are all at their very best, ready for teas, refreshing infusions, simple remedies, and seasonal dishes. Over three relaxed hours, we’ll explore how to confidently identify the most useful and delicious wild ingredients of summer, uncovering their history, folklore, and traditional uses along the way. You’ll gather small samples to examine and taste, while enjoying a slow, mindful walk across meadows, hedgerows, and woodland paths — some gentle uphill sections included. The workshop concludes with a seasonal picnic lunch, where we’ll enjoy the flavours and ingredients we’ve discovered together — a chance to chat, ask questions, and soak up the summer sun. Our aim is to leave you feeling inspired and fully confident in foraging a handful of wild summer ingredients on your own. After the session, you’ll receive a PDF with notes from the day, helping you continue your seasonal foraging adventures long after the workshop ends. This workshop will take place within the area between Hove and Horsham, Sussex. Full workshop details, including the meeting location, will be emailed 2 weeks before the event. If you’d like to know more in the meantime, feel free to get in touch! Please wear sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate clothing. Feel free to bring a small basket for samples, plus a notebook or camera to help you remember everything. We can happily cater for vegan diets, but unfortunately we’re unable to fully cater for gluten-free/coeliac diets on public workshops. . Please note: On the rare occasion Fern cannot host, the workshop will be led by a trusted member of her experienced foraging team.
