Gather & Ground

If you're booking a place at Gather & Ground this summer, you may want to have a look through our terms and conditions. You can also have a look at our FAQ's. If you can't find the answer to your question, please contact us.

Gather & Ground is a woodland holiday experience which will take place between the 7th and the 10th August 2020. Guests will be shown to their accommodation on arrival and given some time to settle in before being invited to a welcome circle.

Guests will be given a full schedule of the weekends activities on arrival. Activities will include, but are not limited to, guided foraging walks, campfire cooking workshops, forest bathing, mindfulness workshops and grounding meditation sessions. Guests are invited to, not obliged to attend any and all workshops.

We are situated in one of the largest stretches of ancient woodland in the UK and there will be plenty of free time to explore.

Accommodation will vary depending on your ticket choice. You will be able to chose between the Cosy Cabin - a rustic wooden cabin that will be shared with other guests, a private yurt, which you will have sole access to and a luxury yurt, which you will have full access to. Each of the accommodation types has its own safari kitchen which you are welcome to use for any additional cooking you would like to do.

Full details of the cabin, yurts and luxury yurts can be found at:

The exact location of Gather & Ground will be emailed to you with your booking confirmation. Travel to and from the location is not included in your ticket price. You are responsible for your own travel arrangements and will need to ensure you provide your car reg details if you are driving and parking on site.

We may provide a pick up service from the local train station, which is in close proximity to our location.

Your ticket includes access to and materials for all workshops, your accommodation and three meals a day, including a breakfast hamper delivered to you each morning.

Additional snacks or foods to be cooked in your safari kitchen should be supplied by yourselves.

We require a 50% deposit to secure your booking. The remaining balance must be paid by June 1st 2020. You also have the option to pay in full.

To book your tickets you can either visit , however you will incur a booking fee. To waiver this fee you can pay directly via bank transfer.

72-hours prior to our event we will provide specific information about the predicted weather and environment at the time. Please pay attention to this and pack / dress for the conditions. The Event will take place come rain or shine, although if it’s very wet, we’ll provide either cover or an alternative indoor venue. We do reserve the right to cancel the event if there are weather warnings / dangerous weather conditions.

A small number of well behaved dogs will be allowed to Gather & Ground. It is your responsibility to keep them under control / on a lead when necessary (for example during cookery workshops / mindfulness sessions / meal times), clean up and dispose of their waste safely and check with us before you book.

Unfortunately, guests staying in the communal cabin will not be allowed to bring dogs,

At Gather & Ground we strive to provide a balance between a peaceful, relaxing setting and a community holiday that is fun and accessible for all. If you do not have children, we will aim to place you further away from guests with children to ensure your peace and quiet. Children are also not permitted in the dormitory style cabin.

You, the parent or guardian will be responsible for your children during the holiday. There may be some activities which are catered towards children and others which will be catered towards adults and may be inappropriate for children.

To add children to your booking, please contact us for a quote. There will be a small surcharge for additional camp beds in private / luxury yurts.

Unfortunately, due to the rural location of this event, we can not offer disables access.

Due to the nature of outdoor cooking and wild dining, we cannot cater for those with serious food allergies. However we may be able to cater to certain food intolerance. It is your responsibility to discuss this with us before confirming your booking.

Vegan and vegetarian diets can be catered for, but it is your responsibility to disclose this information on booking. Failure to inform us of your dietary requirements may result in a lack of suitable food options during your stay.

This event is at its core, a fun and accessible retreat, with mindfulness practices each morning. We may serve a few celebratory alcoholic drinks but not with every meal. You are more than welcome to bring your own alcoholic drinks and there are pubs and a village shop within walking distance.

Gather & Ground is fully insured as an event, as is our yurt village location. We will give safety guidelines for every activity, including how to keep your own fire in your cabin or yurt. However, no responsibility will be taken for accidents caused by ignoring or diverting from these guidelines.
