Come along to a foraging course in Worthing, Chichester, Arundel, Littlehampton, Hove, Brighton & other Sussex locations to learn about the wonders of wild food. As of 2023 we'll also be running some workshops in Hampshire and the New Forest. You'll discover what edible ingredients can be found right on your doorstep, how to safely and sustainably harvest them and of course, see just how tasty they can be!
We hold regular Foraging courses in Sussex throughout the year. Sussex is an incredible place for wild food and we're lucky to be surrounded by some of the most flavoursome, exciting ingredients. Being from Sussex and having been absorbed in local folklore throughout her childhood, Ferns foraging walks often include an element of folklore: whether it be local tales and legends or old local methods for using the native plants that surround us.
Some of our events will be run in collaboration with incredible wild food chefs and fellow forest school teachers. If you need any more information, or you're interested in collaborating, contact Fern here.

seasonal foraging workshops IN HAMPSHIRE
As a demand for foraging workshops has grown, I'm excited to tell you we'll now be running workshops in other parts of the UK! Our lovely Freya will be hosting seasonal foraging workshops in Hampshire and the New Forest, exploring the wonderful flavours of the wild and cooking up some delicious treats to share with you.
WHY FORAGE IN WORTHING?
We are so lucky to be surrounded by so much incredible, wild produce in Worthing and the rest of Sussex. While foraging events are held throughout Sussex, including in Chichester, Arundel, Hove and Brighton, the majority will be held in Worthing. This is where Fern grew up and learned to forage. She is passionate about Worthing legend and folklore, and bringing her community closer to nature.

My friends and I booked onto one of Fern's forage and ferment course in the Spring. We LOVED it. I'm going back to celebrate my birthday at the summer women's wellness day. Cannot WAIT! We learned so much, had INCREDIBLE food. It felt so good to be outside and learning about everything around us. Looking forward to doing more. I cannot recommend this enough!
Such a lovely trip to find mushrooms! It was great fun and the time flew by. Fern's enthusiasm for the countryside is infectious, and she's a patient and knowledgeable teacher.
After the course we had the confidence to go out looking on our own the following weekend and we've been finding yummy mushrooms every since .
