new to fishing?
I (Fern) had my first fly fishing experience around four years ago, and it brought me so much joy. There’s something incredibly empowering about learning how to catch your own fish, prepare it, and then cook it, especially when it’s paired with wild herbs gathered from the land around you!
If you have any reservations about fishing as an activity (I know I did at first), please feel very welcome to message me at hello@foragedbyfern.com, I’m always happy to chat it through and answer any questions.
I have chosen this location carefully as the Fishery follows good sustainable practices and prioritises well-cared-for fish. The surrounding land is also managed with wildlife in mind, making it a beautiful and considered place to spend time outdoors. We'll be fishing and harvesting respectfully, with gratitude for the land and lives of the fish at the heart of all we do.

TESTIMONIALS
"Fern, I just wanted to let you know how wonderful my time away at your foraging retreat has been. I wasn't really sure what to expect and felt a bit nervous about coming on my own, but I've had the most amazing time. Thank you for making me feel so welcome, for the incredible food and for sharing all your knowledge with us!"

One of the best experiences I've ever had in the great outdoors! I've always been someone to learn in a real environment and Fern was amazing in her passion and delivery of so much information as we wandered through the woodland and fields.
From the moment we met our fellow foragers there was a positive and welcoming vibe with the food at the end possibly the best I've ever eaten! Viva la foraging!
