EVENT INFORMATION

2024 Sessions: Sunday 13th October @ 10am - 1pm - SOLD OUT Sunday 13th October @ 2pm - 5pm Sunday 27th October @ 10am - 1pm -- (To choose a session please click 'book now' then find your chosen date in the calendar. Then choose your time slot and continue. If a session isn't shown, it's sold out!) During this workshop, you'll meet your group and start with an introduction to foraging for mushrooms! You'll learn about how to safely identify beginner-friendly mushrooms and tell them apart from poisonous lookalikes! Then you'll head off for a mushroom hunt, meeting a range of edible, medicinal and toxic mushrooms. You'll finish our walk with a small picnic lunch, where you'll enjoy some of the seasonal ingredients we've foraged for as well as some delicious dishes prepared in Freya's kitchen. (Please note we are happy to cater for Vegan diets, however we are unable to fully cater for Gluten free/ Coeliac diets on this public workshop.) The walk will be slow-paced and through woodland. We'll go ahead in rain or shine (mushrooms love the rain!) Please wear weather-appropriate clothes, sturdy shoes and feel free to bring a little basket to gather a few samples, and a notebook or camera to help you remember all the information! Please note this workshop will be led by the lovely Freya, an inspirational foraging foodie. Find our more about her on our 'about' page. Full information, including location will be emailed to you 1 week before the event. For any further information, please do contact us. Or see our FAQ's page.
