EVENT INFORMATION
2025 Sessions: Sunday 5th October @ 9.30am - 12.30 pm Sunday 5th October @ 1.30pm - 4.30pm Sunday 26th October @ 9.30am - 12.30pm Sunday 26th October @ 1.30pm - 4.30pm (To choose a session please click 'book now' then find your chosen date in the calendar. Then choose your time slot and continue. If a session isn't shown, it's sold out!) This workshop will be led by George; a talented and knowledgeable forager, chef, and wild food enthusiast. George ran his own restaurant, and now channels his culinary creativity into wild booze, handmade syrups, and unforgettable foraging feasts. He’s a wealth of knowledge and full of fascinating facts - you're in for a treat! During this workshop, you'll meet your group and start with an introduction to foraging for mushrooms. Then you'll head off for a mushroom hunt, meeting a range of edible, medicinal and toxic mushrooms. You'll learn about how to safely identify beginner-friendly mushrooms and tell them apart from poisonous lookalikes along the way. You'll finish our walk with a picnic lunch, where you'll enjoy some of the seasonal ingredients you've foraged for as well as some delicious dishes prepared by George. (Please note we are happy to cater for Vegan diets, however we are unable to fully cater for Gluten free/ Coeliac diets on this public workshop.) The walk will be slow-paced and through woodland. We'll go ahead in rain or shine (mushrooms love the rain!) Please wear weather-appropriate clothes, sturdy shoes and feel free to bring a little basket to gather a few samples, and a notebook or camera to help you remember all the information! Full information, including location will be emailed to you 1 week before the event. For any further information, please do contact us. Or see our FAQ's page.
