As the temperature rises, so does the tree sap. This sweet, refreshing liquid can be harvested and drunk, as has been done for thousands of years. Join us to rediscover this Spring ritual and for a few hours of happy rambling, learning about edible, nutritious and medicinal herbs, flowers, greens and mushrooms that grow right on our doorstep! On our walk, we'll uncover the history and folklore of these wonderful foods and learn how to harvest them safely and sustainably. At the end of our walk, we'll be cooking up some of the edible plants we find! DATE & TIME: Saturday 20th Feb 2021 11 am - 2.30pm BOOKINGS: ADULT - £40 | CHILD (8 -15) - £10 | CHILD (0 - 7) - FREE Children are more than welcome to come along and enjoy the day! Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times. Please book your adult tickets online and let us know how many children will be attending in your bookings form, their payment can be made separately or on the day. The walk will be slow-paced, but uphill in areas, over fields, and through woodland. Please wear weather appropriate clothes, sturdy shoes and feel free to bring a little basket to gather a few samples, and a notebook or camera to help you remember all the information! If you cannot attend your booking, we request at least 3 days prior notice in order to give you a full refund or to reschedule you onto another workshop. For online workshops, refunds are not available. If you cannot attend the live zoom class, a recording will be sent to you.
