COASTAL FORAGING WORKSHOP

EVENT INFORMATION:

Worthing seafront is abundant with edible, delicious and nutritious wild foods! Come along to learn about safely and sustainably foraging on the coast this Spring!

Join us for a few hours of happy rambling, learning about edible, nutritious and medicinal plants that grow on our beach and salty green spaces. We’ll meet coastal veg, greens, seaweeds and flowers!

I'll also be introducing some poisonous plants, showing how to identify them to make your future foraging experiences safer (This is really great to learn for outdoorsy little ones!).

At the end of our walk, we'll be settling on the stones to enjoy our finds cooked up over a campfire. Along with some freshly caught fish from our local fishermen, it will be a real seaside feast!

BOOKINGS:

Children are more than welcome to come along and enjoy the day! Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times.

The walk will be slow-paced, but over the stones and along the shoreline. Please wear weather appropriate clothes, wellies and feel free to bring a little basket to gather a few samples, and a notebook or camera to help you remember all the information!

The location and details of where to meet will be emailed to you upon payment. The location will be no more than a 30-minute drive outside of the Worthing area and lift-share from Worthing may be available.
